JAY FAIR TROLLING FLIES

Jay Fair developed his trolling fly design, and the line system to fish them, at Eagle Lake in north-eastern California.  All of his flies were tied with marabou and shuck he dyed himself to achieve the shades of color he found effective in his many decades on the water.  A dozen years ago Jay taught his dyeing techniques to "Sierra Stream &Mountain" owner Ron Lewis.  Ron continues to produce the original colors of marabou and shuck which are still sold under the "Jay Fair" name.  These flies are proven trout catchers through more than 50 years of trolling.  His style of trolling line is available in the "Accessories" section of this site.  I have recently added “JAY FAIR TROLLING RODS” to the products offered on this site.
